There has been numerous comments on our site regarding “how to install Android on Samsung wave 2”. At last we have answer to that thanks to Rebellos and Oleg and Other developers involved in creating drivers and testing and TrooperFX a user on our site who reported that first. Now you can install CM10 (CyanogenMod 10) rom on your wave 2 devices its an alpha version but its usable. Modem is not working but that will be fixed soon as said by the xda-developers working on this project.
This version is for enthusiast not for those people who keep
What Works and what not:
Modem Does not work.(That means no calling, messaging, etc.)
SD card and wifi don’t work.(fixes soon)
USB not work
LCD work patialy
Proof that its working( Again thanks to TrooperFX he provided the link to the video):
Installing CM10(Android) on Samsung Wave 2:
1.Download Andoid rom(system, zimage, data) and extract anywhere on pc
2.Download cache_data and also extract anywhere on pc
3.Download fota and flash your phone with it
4.Then copy system, zimage, data and cache to phone memory in root that is in main directory.(390MB)
5.Switch off your phone and try to booting android with Call+End Call buttons combinations for 7-8 seconds. It will boot android
PS.If don’t boot then flash this http://www.mediafire.com/?urk4hycd4zzubw9 bootfiles and try to booting again
–>Only getting black display.
Remove Battery and Insert again then try to boot and it will work.If not Then If you flash given fota and bootfiles and also copy Rom files to phone memory then Test it again.
–>Battery backup decreasing on bada after using android.
It can destroy your battery calibration or even damage something during prolonged usage! You had been warned.this can be avoided by reducing time of connection to USB when Badadroid is running there.
